Barry's parlor is a small operation. We collect only what we need to keep the cabinets working and the front door honest. This Privacy Policy explains how Barry Machin Win ("we", "us") handles personal data on barrymachinwin.com (the "Site").

  • Parlor Tab data (if you open one): a chosen display name and an email address.
  • Gameplay data: virtual Brass Chips balance, simple session counters, and chamber preferences.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser, device type, language, referring page, approximate region.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. We do not collect payment data because the Site does not process payments.

3. Why we use it

  • To run the Site, secure it, and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
  • To maintain your Parlor Tab and remember your preferences (contract / consent).
  • To respond to your messages (legitimate interest).
  • To meet legal obligations where they apply.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

We rely on consent (cookies, optional communications), contract (your parlor tab), legitimate interest (security and basic analytics), and legal obligation where applicable.

5. Sharing

We share data only with processors that help us run the Site (hosting, email, analytics) under written agreements. We do not sell personal data.

Where data leaves the EEA / UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

7. Retention

Parlor Tab data is kept while your ledger is active and for up to 24 months after closure. Server logs are typically retained for up to 12 months.

Subject to law, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@barrymachinwin.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, hashed credentials, access controls). No system is perfectly secure; we will inform you of any breach affecting you as required by law.

10. Children

The Site is not for anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Site, contact us and we will remove the data.

We may update this Policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
